An ornament called The Mizaan

decorations.jpg Was just thinking about house decor. Decorations.. Ornaments.. Things you hang on the wall.. and their basic purpose? Well .. mainly to beautify the house, of course.

Yes, its always about beauty. Because with Dunya, its always about being pretty, beautiful and adorable. Oh yes, your decor must be impressive. Impressive enough to impress your next door neighbour..ha-ha

So, yea, where is the real value in house decoration?

Hmm it came to my thinking that.. Why not, why can’t and why don’t we have decorations with some added value..

Ornaments that serve as tadzkeerah. Since they would be displayed there on the mantlepiece, might as well have something that benefits the owners of the house

I was thinking of something like..

Oh y’know, a scale, so as to remind us to evaluate whether our ‘Amal is heavier on the right side or on the left. and there are times when we can be so deceived into thinking that we have sackfull of good deeds .. when in reality there is just dirt in the bag. O Allah, Forgive us!! A reminder for myself before it is for anyone

So yea. why not invent some nice house decoration in the shape of a scale, and perhaps name it The Mizaan
